    "EROCK" FIBER made by melting inorganic, volcanic basalt rock up to 1450 oC to produce hairline fiber by high speed spinning process.

    The fiber are sprayed with low percentage of thermosetting phenolic binder to make the fibers retain its shape; prevent shrinkage during storage and giving the flexibility and resilience to the product.

    Composed mainly of silica and alumina as basaltic composition in which the refractory oxide components have been deliberately increased to enhance its stability at high temperatures.

    Al2 O3 increases the viscosity and chemical resistance. Oxides of Calcium, Magnesium, and Titanium raise the water and corrosion resistance.

Because of the fiber structure stiffness and air existence and porosity, the "EROCK" products give the excellent sound absorption properties.

The value of noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of the "EROCK" products depends on the product density and the insulation thickness. Generally the range of NRC value is 0.85 – 1.00
